Let us only mention a handful of all the museums in the surrounding area: the National Fishing Museum in Oostduinkerke, the IJzertoren (Yser Tower) and the Trenches of Death in Nieuwpoort (Diksmuide), the Museum of the Abbey of the Dunes in Koksijde, the James Ensor house in Ostend, the Bakery Museum in Veurne and the open-air museum Bachten De Kupe in Izenberge.
